                                                      3. Andaz Apna Apna (1994)

One of my all time favorites with best of comic moments
without a gap. The film did an average business when
released in 1994, but characters like Amar-Prem, Bhalla,
Robert, Bajaj and Gang Master GoGo got their places in
audiences' hearts for  lifetime. The movie will long remain
             favorite for most of us.

4. Dhamaal (2007)

Dhamaal as the name suggests, was a full fun filled drama with loads of punches and gags. Directed by Inder Kumar, this was a story of 4 otiose and a Cop, all racing to get 10 cores in a Goa garden. Small appearance by Manoj Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra added more sugar to the taste.

           5. Hera Pheri

A typical Priyadarshan make, Hera Pheri revolved around 3
jobless characters wanting to be rich in no time. They could
never find a way unless their wired phone rang. All characters
were very intelligently performed by the actors and the film made
out to be a perfect comic ride.

Top 5 Concerns that are making Online Shopping not-so-favorite among Indian Consumers

Despite attractive discounts and offers like "Try before buy", common Indian consumers still hesitate to buy stuff online. Even, in many cases, one time online buyers also don't come back for more.

  1. Lack of Customer Service support in terms of "Product" information: Even though all major market players have worked very strongly and invested heavily on their Customer Service Support system, there is usually the lack of "Product" information support on-call for the customers. "Customer will buy the information first and then the Product".
  2. Increasing shopping limit of free Delivery: Started with minimum purchase order of INR 50, online retailers have now started to charge INR 50- 100 for orders less than INR 500, making customers lose on to what they get in terms of discounts.
  3. Delivery Delays: Consumers have developed greater expectations in previous few years. They now expect Pizza like delivery or at least same-day-delivery of their products. Probably, on-line stores will now need to work more on their procurement, delivery channels and logistics.
  4. The lot they offer, the more they confuse me: Shopping online is now a trend, not only with urban consumers but also attracting rural buyers. Online shopping websites are now not limited to 1,2 or even 10... selling similar products with almost same discounts and offers. Market is more discount driven than service driven. More often than not, resulting into cancelling the orders on payment page or after booking the product.
  5. Unclear policies: The most annoying experience a buyer faces when the delivery of the product crosses it's mentioned time limit, even worse when there is not trace of the product for too long and suddenly the tracking says your order has been cancelled due to unavailability of stock... how many of us have faced that? There also seem to be no coordination between the sellers and their delivery service providers. Delivery person, not knowing replacement or money back policy walks away giving no useful information which generates mistrusts especially among first time buyers.

Market Place- trend-not-so-new for Etail

Market Place, Indian Etailors' favorite crush these days

Just when procuring and warehousing and packaging of products started to appear dearly-won to Desi E-retail companies in India, focus started to shift to work on market place strategy.

What is Market Place?

Connecting sellers directly to the buyers through a web platform/ site.

What Customers Get?

Multiple seller options with different offers on one platform.

How is Product Delivered?

Either through E-retailors's own delivery facility or 3rd Party Logistics service provider (3PL)/ Courier service partners.

With payment mechanism and delivery experience remain almost same, consumers might have to compromise with lesser margins of discounts as E-retailors charge INR 30-100 per delivery.
Ofcourse, Market Place being cost efficient tool for E-retailors to stay in market and earn better profit margins, it can only delight consumers if product discounts actually make sense after such delivery charges.

Consumers will definitely look for

  • Saving their money with multiple seller options for same product
  • A faster, delightful and pleasant delivery experience
  • Authentic Product Replacement Warranty
  • Ease of buying products online
  • Genuineness of sellers and products
